Intersections of Influence
letterpress and digital print
Creative people can have a profound influence on one another. Artistic passions are ignited and ideas are launched when creatives interact. This infographic traces the movements of individual artists as they arrived and departed the city of Greenville, North Carolina over the course of several years. All of the people featured had some kind of influence on my own growth as a graphic designer. Each individual’s path enters the city from their originating coordinates, spirals around the center, and then departs (or not) to other locations over time.
This limited edition print merges two processes; it was created with both digital-format printing and letterpress printing. The poster was first printed digitally with archival ink on French Paper Pop-tone Whip Cream, then letterpress printed in silver ink. The artwork was printed with metal plates produced by Owosso Graphic Arts, Inc.
